The H1 tells users and Google the page's primary topic. Missing it weakens topical relevance; multiple H1s dilute it. Both quietly suppress rankings for the term you actually want.
How to fix
Use one H1 per page that states the page topic in plain language, then structure the rest with H2/H3 in order. Do not use headings purely for visual size.
